What, Why & How

WHAT we’re going to focus on • WHY these topics are important • HOW we’ll work together

I work with individuals to help them:

  • Live with less fear and more openness.

  • Create more emotional balance regardless of what life throws their way.

  • Move forward with greater clarity.

  • Develop a greater sense of self-worth detached from external factors or influences.

Hello and Welcome!

My name’s Vanessa Yuen and I’m a mindset and well-being coach whose work focuses on rediscovering and strengthening our sense of self-worth and compassion.

Each of us is enough exactly as we are. My goal is to help people see that and believe it.

It’ll change your world.

It changed mine.

When we begin to recognize our already present worth and value, life becomes lighter: we free ourselves from the weight of others’ expectations and judgements and can embrace our whole selves.

We are funny and defensive. Anxious and joyful. Fearful and loving.

We are so many things rolled into one, but our mistakes and our flaws don’t make us less than

— they make us human.

Wherever and whoever we are at this very moment is perfectly ok.

Just be you.

Clients start working with me for a variety of reasons: emotional and communication challenges, a desire to gain greater confidence as entrepreneurs and leaders, unhealthy work-life balance….

But what is almost always hidden at the base of the issues are the external messages and the voices in our heads telling us:

we are not enough.

Not attractive enough, not successful enough, not manly enough, not strong enough, not a good enough parent/partner/leader/friend/sibling/caregiver.

It’s not that we believe we’re worthless — thankfully, for most of us, this isn’t the case — but our sense of self-worth isn’t whole and it’s all too easy for someone’s casual remark or stray inconsiderateness to send us spinning.

We can learn to create a little space, a little breathing room and find more compassion and love for others, and just as importantly, for ourselves.

Because we will fall and we will make mistakes; if we can’t learn to forgive ourselves, to go easier on the self-judgement, we’ll never be able to get back up and continue the journey.

I’m not here to direct - only you will know where you need to go.

I’m here to walk alongside: holding a safe space, asking the observant questions and reminding you that you are enough.
